Job purpose
• The Saw Operator will assist in the manufacturing of tubular pipe by operating various saws to cut in process pipe.
• Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Work involves lifting of materials and product up to 30 pounds. Operation requires the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, work boots, and hardhats. Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.
Duties and responsibilities
• Responsible to cooperate with all departments during the cutting functions.
• Follow Supervisor and Work Instructions during processing cuts.
• Perform daily maintenance on equipment
• Check that machine has safety guards in place before operating.
• Responsible for wearing proper PPE during his functions.
• Responsible for the following and interpretation of all reject markings on pipe ends during upsetting and threading.
• Perform other tasks and duties as may be assigned to keep production moving

Education
• High School Graduate or equivalent preferred.

• This position reports to the Production Manager
